1. What is the issue?
The issue is that a girl appeared at the Melbourne train station at 8A.M on Saturday, 15th, September in Australia time. The girl is about 3 years old and looks like Asian. From the security camera, she was first holding hand with an Asian man who had a black rolling suitcase but then he just let the girl from his hand at the train station and he left by himself. Police thinks the girl could be from overseas and she hadn’t spoken at all but they are not sure why this girl is here or who made this happen. They have tried many different languages. The Department of Human Services had said that the girl is in good health conditions and they will try to contact her family so the girl can get back with them.

2. Who is affected and how?
•The girl who was left at train station, because she is right now away from her parents and her family which means she is alone and she misses them.

• The little girl’s family, because they might want her back and they might miss her.

• The police, because they need to work on this incident and try to solve it.

• The Australian government, because they need to watch out or try to set it all back because the little girl might have been sent as a spy.

3. What would you do if you were directly involved?

I think the best solution is to solve this incident. I would first try to find out who the girl is and why she had been left. I think if it’s possible, they should check on DNA to find out if the man who left her was her father. Then I will see where and how they came, by train, ship, etc. so I would be able to prevent all the people coming from other country without any checking. I think it’s important to bring the little girl and her family to take care of her together.
For the future, I would then try to hire more guards at train station not just the camera, so they can stop strange people at the moment to do check on them, in case something similar happens.
